I have blogged for many years with many different hats on, for both business and pleasure.
For my clients, blogging is a simple yet vital tool in their content marketing strategies. It can be key as a digital PR tool, a way of informally reaching out to customers, keep you active on social media, or can establish someone as a thought-leader in their field. And then there’s those rather important subjects of relevancy, presence and SEO rankings.
For my own enjoyment I have been involved in some high performing leisure blogs, such as Yorkshire Pudd and The Wandering Golfers, which have allowed me to combine my love of food and drink, travel and lifestyle writing.
I find business leaders who understand the power of blogs are particularly keen on copywriters who can write in-depth, engaging posts while also keeping SEO scores, backlinks and website health in mind, which is why journalists often make great bloggers.
